2. Definitions in These Terms and Conditions

We use a number of terms in these conditions. We explain what they mean below.

Carplayzone: the entrepreneur who offers products and/or services via the webshop or other sales channels.

Customer: the person who places an order or uses our services.

Consumer: a customer who acts as a private individual and not on behalf of a company or profession.

Product: any item offered or delivered by Carplayzone.

Service: work performed by or on behalf of Carplayzone, such as installation, assembly, connection, or configuration.

Agreement: the agreement between Carplayzone and the customer regarding the delivery of products or services.

Cooling-off period: the statutory period within which a consumer can withdraw from an online purchase.

Withdrawal: the cancellation of an online purchase within the statutory cooling-off period.

Durable data carrier: a means by which information can be stored, such as email or a digital document.


3. When These Terms and Conditions Apply

These terms and conditions apply to every offer, every order, and every agreement between Carplayzone and the customer.

By placing an order, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions.

Before an order is definitively placed, these terms and conditions are made available. When this happens digitally, the customer can save the conditions or review them later.

If a provision in these terms and conditions proves to be invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.


4. Our Offer and Product Information

Carplayzone strives to describe all products and services as clearly as possible.

With the offer, we state, among other things:

  • the main characteristics of the product;

  • the price including VAT;

  • any shipping costs;

  • payment options;

  • delivery time or execution information;

  • information about returns and warranty, where applicable.

Images, specifications, and descriptions are placed with care. Nevertheless, minor deviations may occur, for example in color, packaging, or design.

Obvious errors or mistakes in prices, texts, or images are not binding for Carplayzone.


5. Ordering and Conclusion of the Agreement

An agreement is concluded as soon as the customer places an order and Carplayzone confirms this order.

After placing an online order, the customer receives a confirmation by email or through another digital channel.

Carplayzone may refuse an order or request additional information if there is a valid reason for it, for example, in case of suspected abuse, incorrect data, or payment problems.


6. Prices and Payments

All prices on the website include VAT, unless stated otherwise.

Shipping costs or other additional costs will be clearly stated before the customer completes the order.

Payment takes place via the payment methods offered during the ordering process.

If payment is not made on time, Carplayzone may postpone delivery or execution until payment has been received.

In case of payment arrears, statutory interest and reasonable collection costs may be charged, to the extent permitted by law.


7. Delivery and Performance

Carplayzone delivers orders to the address specified by the customer.

We strive to ship orders as quickly as possible. Unless otherwise agreed, an order will be delivered within 30 days at the latest.

If a delivery is delayed, we will inform the customer about this.

The customer is responsible for correctly entering address and contact details.


8. Returns and Right of Withdrawal

Consumers have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of receipt without stating reasons.

During this cooling-off period, the customer must handle the product and packaging with care.

The product may only be viewed or tested as would be possible in a physical store.

When the customer makes use of the right of withdrawal, the product must be returned complete, undamaged, and, if reasonably possible, in its original packaging.

Return requests can be submitted via info@carplayzone.nl. Always include the order number.


9. Costs and Refunds for Returns

The costs for returning a product are at the expense of the customer, unless the product was delivered incorrectly or received defective.

After receipt and inspection of the return, Carplayzone will refund the purchase amount in accordance with legal regulations.

Carplayzone may wait with repayment until the product has been returned or until the customer has demonstrated that the product has been returned.

Any depreciation due to use beyond what was necessary to assess the product may be offset.


10. Products or Services That Cannot Be Returned

In some cases, a product or service cannot be returned. This applies, for example, to:

  • products that have been specially adapted or assembled for the customer;

  • products that show signs of use after installation or assembly;

  • products that, by their nature, are not suitable for return;

  • services that have been fully performed with the prior consent of the customer;

  • sealed products whose seal has been broken, when return is not possible for hygienic or protection reasons.


11. Warranty and Product Complaints

Products from Carplayzone come with a warranty period of 2 years from the date of purchase.

This warranty covers material and manufacturing defects that occur during normal use.

The warranty does not apply to:

  • damage due to incorrect use;

  • damage due to improper installation or assembly;

  • fall damage, impact damage, moisture, or liquid damage;

  • normal wear and tear;

  • self-performed repairs or modifications;

  • use contrary to the manual or instructions.

A warranty claim can be submitted via info@carplayzone.nl. Please include the order number and clear photos or videos of the problem.


12. Installation and Fitting Services

When Carplayzone or a party engaged by Carplayzone performs an installation or fitting service, the customer must ensure that the vehicle is available at the agreed date, time, and location.

The customer is responsible for correctly providing information about the vehicle, such as make, model, year of manufacture, and version.

If additional work is required during installation, any extra costs will be discussed beforehand.

If the customer explicitly agrees to the performance of the installation service within the 14-day cooling-off period, the right of withdrawal for this service may expire as soon as the service has been fully performed.

In case of partial performance, Carplayzone may charge a reasonable fee for the work already performed.


13. Complaints Procedure

Complaints about products, services, or delivery can be reported via info@carplayzone.nl.

Describe the complaint as clearly as possible and include photos, videos, and the order number where possible.

Carplayzone aims to respond substantively within 14 days. If an investigation requires more time, the customer will be notified.

We always try to resolve complaints together with the customer first.


14. Long-Term Agreements

When there is an agreement for an indefinite period, it can be terminated with a notice period of a maximum of one month, unless otherwise legally stipulated.

A fixed-term agreement ends on the agreed end date, unless the parties agree otherwise in writing or digitally.

Tacit renewal only occurs when permitted by law.


15. Liability and Use of Products

Carplayzone is not liable for damage resulting from incorrect use, improper installation, self-performed modifications, or use that deviates from the instructions.

The customer is responsible for checking whether a product is suitable for his or her vehicle, unless Carplayzone has provided written advice on this based on correct information from the customer.

Carplayzone is not responsible for damage resulting from the customer providing incorrect or incomplete vehicle data.


16. Disputes and Applicable Law

All agreements with Carplayzone are governed by Dutch law.

Parties will first try to resolve disputes amicably.

If that is not possible, the dispute can be submitted to the competent Dutch court, unless the law stipulates otherwise.


17. Additional Agreements

Additional or deviating agreements are only valid if they have been laid down in writing or digitally.

These agreements may not conflict with mandatory consumer legislation.

If an additional agreement deviates from these terms and conditions, the additional agreement only applies to the specific situation for which it was made.
